Jessie

After all of the joys of our first two boys, let me say in the words of Maurice Chevalier, “Thank Heaven For Little Girls”.  Yes, Becky loved both Andy and Matt so very much, but there is always something special between a mother and her daughter.

Becky started Jessie with her first dance class at the age of 2.  Who would have known?  Jessie is now doing it professionally in San Francisco.  She teaches, choreographs, and directs her own dance company.  See it at www.jessiecosentino.com.

When Jessie was about 7 years old, I learned just how perceptive kids could be.  It was a Saturday morning and I was in our family room relaxing.  I had one of Becky’s magazines open, and I was paging through it.  It was People magazine.  The open page had a picture of some starlet dressed in a very skimpy outfit.  Jessie came up to me, saw the magazine, and said, “I bet you would like to see Mommy wearing that”.  I was sort of surprised.  But, then she said, “but Mom would never wear anything like that”.
